LG Styler ShoeCare and ShoeCase: The Must-Have Gadgets for Shoe Enthusiasts

LG Styler ShoeCare and ShoeCase: The Must-Have Gadgets for Shoe Enthusiasts

The 2022 IFA trade show in Berlin was full of exciting tech innovations, but one unexpected highlight came from LG with its Styler ShoeCare and ShoeCase. While I don’t typically cover this type of technology, these devices managed to capture my attention and become the gadgets I never knew I needed.

LG claims to be “revolutionizing the at-home shoe care experience” with these new Styler models. It’s a surprising yet ingenious concept that transforms traditional shoe maintenance into a modern and convenient process.

Even with a plethora of dazzling tech on display at the LG booth, including the flexible LG OLED Flex TV and the illuminating MoodUP fridge, the Styler ShoeCare and ShoeCase stood out as innovative and desirable.

As someone who doesn’t have an extensive shoe collection, my newfound enthusiasm for these devices might seem unusual. However, several factors contributed to my interest in these stylish gadgets.

Fresh and Fashionable

The Styler ShoeCare and ShoeCase are two separate components of a modular system that can be used together or independently, depending on your needs.

The ShoeCare serves as a wardrobe for your shoes, featuring up to four shelves (or fewer if you need space for taller items like wellington boots). Using LG’s TrueSteam technology, it keeps your shoes fresh by gently releasing steam from the bottom of the cabinet. An adjustable Moving Nozzle system efficiently dries the shoe’s interior, preparing them for your next wear.

A small touchscreen on the front allows you to control the ShoeCare, and the LG ThinQ app provides additional convenience. The device offers ten different programs to handle various shoe materials, from leather to suede and sports shoes. With its standard setting, it can refresh up to four pairs of shoes in just 37 minutes, operating quietly at 37dB.

The Styler ShoeCare’s appealing dark green color, which conveniently matches my home decor, adds to its allure. Given its capacity for four pairs of shoes, it suits my modest collection perfectly. Fresh, odor-free shoes that require less frequent replacement are a welcome prospect.

Showcasing Sneaker Splendor

For sneaker enthusiasts and collectors, the ShoeCase is a dream come true. This display case features clear panels on three sides, allowing you to showcase your prized kicks like works of art while protecting them from UV light and moisture. With a turntable and lighting, your shoes are visible from all angles, day or night.

The ShoeCase comes in various colors and even offers special editions in collaboration with artists. You can stack up to four ShoeCases on top of one another or place a single unit on top of the ShoeCare.

Personally, I’d prefer the latter option, and if I were to invest in one, it might just be the beginning of an expensive shoe collection.

However, there’s a catch: the Styler ShoeCare and ShoeCase are initially launching in Korea only. For those of us outside Korea, we may have to wait for the possibility of a wider release. Pricing details are still pending, but it’s safe to assume these stylish gadgets might come with a substantial price tag.

In the meantime, my Vans will continue to reside on the hallway floor, but I’ll maintain their freshness with a quick spray of Febreze—my bank balance will appreciate it.

As LG continues to innovate and surprise with unique and practical technology, it’s clear that the Styler ShoeCare and ShoeCase are game-changers for shoe enthusiasts, offering a fresh perspective on shoe care and display.
